Testing of products intended to come into contact with drinking water in accordance with EU Directive 2020/2184, transposed into Italian law by Legislative Decree No. 18/2023, and EU Implementing Decision 2024/368.

- UNI EN 12873-1:2014 Standard – Influence of materials on water intended for human consumption – Influence due to migration – Part 1: Test method for factory-made products made from or incorporating organic or glassy (porcelain/vitreous enamel) materials
- UNI EN 12873-2:2022 Standard – Influence of materials on water intended for human consumption – Influence due to migration – Part 2: Test method for non-metallic and noncementitious site-applied materials
- UNI EN 1484:1999 Standard – Determination of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC);
- Sensory evaluations in accordance with the UNI EN 1622:2006 standard quantitative methods for the determination of the threshold odour and flavour;
- UNI EN 1420-1:2016 standard – odour and flavour;
- UNI EN ISO 7887:2012 – examination of colour;
- UNI EN ISO 7027-1:2016 – examination of turbidity;

DWD Pre-Products Certification
(voluntary, strategic for the supply chain)
Certification scheme for materials and intermediate products (plastic compounds, elastomeric compounds, additives, coatings) not directly covered by the directive, but essential for ensuring consistency and continuity throughout the supply chain up to mandatory certification of the finished product. If issued by a DWD Notified Body, it maintains technical and commercial value throughout the supply chain.
